As you arrive at Colombo International Airport, a friendly representative will greet you and assist with airport formalities. You’ll then be escorted to your comfortable air-conditioned vehicle for a scenic drive to Kandy the cultural capital of Sri Lanka nestled amid misty hills and serene lakes.
En route, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, home to over a hundred rescued elephants. Watch them being bathed and fed a truly heartwarming sight that reflects Sri Lanka’s deep bond with nature.
Next, stop by a Spice and Herbal Garden, where you’ll learn about Sri Lanka’s world-famous spices from cinnamon and cardamom to nutmeg and pepper and discover their age-old healing properties used in Ayurvedic medicine.
Continue onward to Kandy and visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), an architectural marvel and UNESCO World Heritage Site that houses one of Buddhism’s most revered relics.
