Oman Magic Dunes and Coastline

As you arrive at Muscat International Airport, complete immigration, baggage collection, and customs formalities. Meet your chauffeur at the arrival hall and transfer to your hotel. Your stay begins at a carefully selected hotel in Muscat. Settle into a comfortable room and relax after your journey.

The rest of the day is at leisure to explore nearby surroundings or simply unwind.

After breakfast, at 08:30 Hrs, depart from the hotel to visit the Grand Mosque (note: not open on Fridays and public holidays), one of Muscat’s architectural masterpieces. Admire the intricate craftsmanship, stunning chandeliers, handmade carpets, and the grandeur of the main prayer hall.

(Note: Remember, ladies should be fully covered with a headscarf, and men should wear trousers).

Continue along the waterfront Corniche and explore the vibrant Muttrah Souq, a colourful market filled with traditional crafts and spices. Next, enjoy a photo stop at Al Alam Palace, the official residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, flanked by the 16th-century Portuguese forts Mirani & Jalali. Conclude with a visit to Bait Al Zubair Museum to glimpse Oman’s rich history and culture.

Return to your hotel in Muscat for a restful overnight stay.

Transfer from your hotel to the Muscat Marina to embark on a boat excursion in search of dolphins and whales. Experience the thrill of spotting wild dolphins, and possibly whales, along Muscat’s rugged coastline. Even if sightings are not guaranteed, enjoy a memorable day out at sea and learn about these fascinating marine mammals.

Return to the marina and transfer back to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure to explore Muscat on your own or relax at the hotel.

After breakfast, depart by 4WD vehicles to Wahiba Sands via the scenic coastal route. Marvel at the blue waters of the Gulf of Oman and pristine white beaches along the way. Drive past the fishing village of Quriyat, with chances to spot flamingos and eagles near inland streams.

Visit Wadi Arabayeen, a picturesque wadi with deep pools amidst date palms. Continue to the Bimah Sinkhole, a striking limestone crater with turquoise waters at the bottom. As you drive along the coast, keep an eye out for gazelles or even sharks in the deep blue waters.

Arrive in Sur to visit the traditional Dhow Factory, then proceed through mountain terrain with breathtaking ocean views. Reach Wahiba Sands, a vast desert of undulating red and white dunes rising up to 200 meters, home to unique flora and fauna. Enjoy the exhilarating roller-coaster-like ride over the dunes.

Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel, taking a quiet moment to reflect on the experiences, discoveries, and unforgettable moments that have made your Oman journey truly special.

After check-out, a comfortable chauffeur-driven transfer will be ready to take you from your hotel to Muscat International Airport for your flight home or onward journey. Carry home more than souvenirs  bring back the landscapes, moments, and memories that will linger long after your trip ends.
