Arrival in Tokyo

Welcome to Japan. After completing customs procedures, you will be transferred to your hotel by shared shuttle bus. The rest of the day is yours to relax and enjoy at leisure. In the afternoon, you will receive details about the start of your tour.

Tokyo City Tour and Shinjuku by Night

Tokyo

After breakfast, we begin a delightful day exploring the highlights of Tokyo.

We will enjoy an extensive guided tour of this mesmerizing city, lasting approximately five hours. The contrasts of modern innovation and serene tradition blend beautifully throughout the day.

We will start with a brief stop at Zojoji Temple, offering a perfect view of Tokyo Tower and its rows of Jizo statues. We then continue to the famous Shibuya Crossing followed by a visit to the peaceful Meiji Shrine. Our route continues along the stylish Omotesando Avenue toward the Imperial Palace, where we will admire the picturesque Nijubashi Bridge.

Later, we will pass through the lively Akihabara district, known as the Electric Town, and continue past Kokugikan, Japan’s renowned sumo arena. The tour concludes in Asakusa with a visit to Sensoji Temple and Nakamise Street. Lunch will be included, followed by a return to the hotel.

We will meet our guide in the lobby and take the metro to Shinjuku, where we will enjoy a pleasant evening walk and dinner (included) before returning by metro.

Tokyo to Mount Fuji and Kawaguchiko

Kawaguchi

After breakfast, we set out for a beautiful journey to the Mount Fuji region.

We will begin at Arakurayama Sengen Park, known for its iconic views of Mount Fuji. From there, we continue to Kawaguchiko, visiting the peaceful Fuji Sengen Shrine before enjoying a scenic boat ride on Lake Kawaguchiko.

Later, we ascend Mount Fuji along the panoramic road to the Fifth Station at 2,305 meters, surrounded by magnificent forests.

Note: During winter, ascent may be limited due to weather.

We return to Kawaguchiko with free time to enjoy the lakeside. This evening, we stay in a traditional ryokan where you may relax in an onsen. Dinner will be included.

Kawaguchiko to Iyashi no Sato, Toyota and Kyoto

Kyoto

After breakfast, we follow a scenic lakeside road to visit Iyashi no Sato Nenba, a restored village showcasing traditional architecture and crafts. We then continue to admire the beautiful Shiraito Falls.

Our journey takes us onward to Nagoya for a visit to the Toyota Museum (admission included), a fascinating experience for anyone interested in engineering and innovation. We then proceed to Kyoto for our overnight stay.

Full Day in Kyoto

Kyoto

After breakfast, we begin another rewarding day discovering the treasures of Kyoto.

We start in Arashiyama, admiring the Togetsukyo Bridge followed by a visit to the Tenryuji Temple and a peaceful walk through its enchanting bamboo grove. We will then visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, the Imperial Palace and finally the iconic Kinkakuji Temple, known as the Golden Pavilion.

After the tour, you will have time to explore Gion, Kyoto’s traditional district famous for its elegant streets and cultural charm.

Kyoto to Nara and Osaka

Osaka

After breakfast, we begin our excursion toward Nara.

We will visit Todaiji Temple, home to a majestic Buddha statue, and enjoy time with the friendly deer in the surrounding park. Lunch will be included. We then continue to the Horyu-ji Buddhist Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its ancient wooden structures.

In the evening, we arrive in Osaka where we will enjoy a visit to Dotonbori, a lively district celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere.

Osaka to Himeji and Okayama

Okayama

After breakfast, we depart for Himeji, where we will visit its magnificent castle complex. Lunch will be included at a local restaurant.

We then continue to Okayama for a visit to Korakuen Garden, one of Japan’s most celebrated traditional gardens. You will have the option to walk across the pedestrian bridge to view Okayama Castle from outside.

Note: On some dates, accommodation may be arranged in Fukuyama or Kurashiki.

Okayama, Kurashiki, Itsukushima and Hiroshima

Hiroshima

After breakfast, we travel to Kurashiki to explore its charming historic quarters. We then continue to Hiroshima to visit the Peace Memorial Park, Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Memorial Museum.

Later, we take a ferry to Itsukushima Island to visit the iconic Itsukushima Shrine, built partly over the water. Lunch will be included. Afterward, we return to Hiroshima for dinner and overnight stay.

Hiroshima to Matsuyama

Matsuyama

After breakfast, we board a ferry to Shikoku Island, enjoying a pleasant two-and-a-half-hour journey.

In Matsuyama, we take the cable car to visit its impressive castle followed by a visit to Ishiteji Temple. Lunch will be included. Later, we include admission to Dogo Onsen, a historic 19th-century bathhouse.

Matsuyama to Kotohira, Takamatsu, Naruto and Kobe

Kobe

After breakfast, we begin our journey toward Kotohira to visit its revered Shinto shrine located atop Mount Zosu. We then continue to Takamatsu to explore the splendid Ritsurin Garden. Lunch will be included.

In Naruto, we visit the impressive bridge and walk along the glass platform offering views of sea whirlpools from 45 meters above. Our scenic route continues across magnificent bridges connecting the islands. We arrive in Kobe for our overnight stay.
